Israeli composer Ofer Ben-Amots has skillfully worked the famous story of transcendent love between two ill-fated lovers into a beautiful chamber opera in three acts. In 90 minutes, the key ingredients of grand opera – love, death, mysticism, drama, humor and tragedy – are stunningly evoked by the singers and the musicians who, playing on stage, become part of the narrative. Digital media, video art and Japanese Kuroko techniques are expertly integrated into the classic Yiddish tale. More information at
